All I have is this window

by Theo Tajes from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

All I have is this window is a video-essay about the reconnection with nature and personal emotions, from the view of a bedroom window that was taken by a tree. The building's plants began to grow out of control, completely changing the relationship between the interior of the room and the outside world. At the same time that the private forest grew, drowning out the sounds of the city, extinguishing the advertising signs and covering the buildings around it, it was possible to notice that feelings and thoughts, long ignored, started to surface. A garden of emotions, finally allowing itself to be cultivated. The days began to be guided by a natural, soft, light, the movement of birds and the effect of the wind on the leaves. The view from the window allowed new understandings regarding time and daily life. Through the window almost entirely covered with plants, it was possible to see from inside to inside.
