My art photography reflects on the one hand on the concept of identity, identity formation and intergenerational complexity in social-cultural contexts, and on the other hand on the diffuse transformations in landscapes, heritage and history over time. My collages are reflections on the influence(s) of visual culture, commodification, imagery and art.

Although there may not always be material similarities between the different artworks, they are linked by the above mentioned subject matters and always consist of several layers. The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of the work. Often this results in a serie with multiple works grouped around specific themes, which reflect on the theme at hand (i.e. ‘female heroes’, ‘identity and social constructions’, or ‘colonialism’).
