There is Zero Question

For days I have been closely following and trying to capture some images, sounds and feelings about the presidential elections in the US...

A melting pot of my experience watching the race, being bombed (voluntarily, I should say) by a cacophony not only of these tight race numbers, but also by the division in the country; the mix of hope, fear and determination; and how some are trying to manipulate the process and its rules for their own personal gain. An autocratic force doesn't always need weapons to impose itself, it does so over time through the cracks of the legal system by breaking down institutional regulators and turning them into obedient actors. But most of times the will of the people is stronger than any despotism.

I am heartened to see many other people are acting rationally in a display of active patience and building with participation in every corner. I don't live there, but many of the people I love most do. They are living one of the most critical moments of their country's recent history, a struggle for inclusion, for respect, and for a common ground. I wish for the most peaceful and positive outcome from this process for all of them, and for all the world depending in many ways on that real life movie of heroes and villains having a movie happy ending.
